From a Book to a Movement — ‘Be Happy, My Way’ Touches Hearts at Rotary International Regal Pre-PELS

Be Happy, My Way

New Delhi [India], November 11: Some books are written to be read; others are written to be felt. At the Rotary International Regal Pre-PELS in Naukluea, Thailand, Be Happy, My Way – When Life Presses the RESET Button by Rtn. Ranjit Bijoor did both.

What began as a book launch quietly transformed into an emotional awakening. The hall, filled with Rotarians and delegates from across Asia, fell silent as Padmashree Dr. Mukesh Batra opened the first copy. “More than the book, it’s the inspiration,” he said. “Not just Rotarians, but anyone who reads this will find their life changed.”

The evening’s most touching moment came when Ajahn Mae Chee Brigitte, the revered Buddhist nun of the Naukluea Monastery, turned the pages and stopped to wipe away tears. She asked for a signed copy — no applause followed, only a long, shared stillness.

District Governor Rajan Duaa, who hosted the evening, presented a Scroll of Honour to Rtn. Ranjit Bijoor, describing the book as “a reflection of Rotary’s greatest value — rediscovering purpose through service.” PDG Rajendra Agarwal then added a line that has since gone viral among Rotarians: “The only thing you don’t get on Amazon is happiness.”

Since that night, Be Happy, My Way has travelled faster than any press release. Rotarians from India to Singapore have shared how it made them pause, forgive, or simply breathe again. One club has pledged to distribute a hundred copies as part of its community wellness drive.

For Ranjit Bijoor, who leads BritishLearning.UK and Pranasattva.AI, the response has been overwhelming. “I thought I was launching a book,” he said later. “I didn’t realise it would launch a movement.”
